System Bundles – All the performance, with the convenience and cost savings of a completed integrated package specifically designed to do the job

For customers that want the convenience of a pre-configured solution that is installed and running in a short timeframe, Orbital has designed system bundles that match the requirements of many science research, and weather research and tracking applications. The typical timeline from initial purchase to an operational system is four months.

The 2.4XLB System combines Orbital’s most popular products along with professional installation assistance to provide the highest quality system available at the lowest possible cost.  The bundle installation shares the installation responsibility with the customer who handles foundation construction, running system cables, ordering crane service, handling of crates on installation day, etc.  Full Turnkey installation services are available in most countries when utilizing our Certified Resellers or Systems Integrator partners.

Note that the 2.4XLB bundle typically only produces DB data up to level 0.  Most science and weather projects require processing to higher level products specific to the customers needs.  In this case, Orbital Systems can recommend a number of our highly qualified Systems Integrators or Certified Resellers who have software packages that can be configured to provide higher level products and can also provide additional services such as Turnkey Installation services to manage your complete installation locally.

2.4XLB Direct Broadcast Reception System

  • A complete and fully integrated bundle that receives X and L Band EOS DB data and processes it to level 0 including X-Band Terra, Aqua MODIS; L-Band MetOp EPS when available; NOAA POES HRPT; FY1 CHRPT, FY3 before end of 2010
  • Includes all necessary high performance RF system components
  • High reliability antenna positioner and the EOS-FES with an intutive GUI for overall managment.  Keeps you focused on the data, not the antenna
  • EOS-FES ties together and synchronizes all system components to automate passes, track satellites, receive and ingest DB data, and then process data to level 0.
  • Automatic TLE updates as well as remote diagnosis and software updates.
  • Remote support and assistance available for integration with customer’s application processing software.
  • Shared installation responsibility between customer and Orbital Systems ensures an cost effective installation and keeps total installation costs to a minimum.
