Orbital Systems Provides SARSAT Equipment for Canadian Department of National Defence

Irving, TX - For Immediate Release - Orbital Systems Ltd, located in Irving, TX assisted EMS SATCOM of Ottawa Canada with a SARSAT ground station installation for the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND). Orbital Systems designed the antenna system, which is unique in its ability to reliably communicate with Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellites. By tracking MEO satellites versus Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites, distress transmissions are virtually immediate making search and rescue operations extremely efficient.

EMS SATCOM is one of Orbital Systems certified resellers. Besides designing and manufacturing the equipment sold to the Canadian DND, representatives from Orbital were on site at the Ottawa Airport where the system was installed to provide technical expertise and support.
