The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), Institute for Telecommunication Sciences (ITS), an agency under the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) installed a 2.4m XL Band antenna system at the Colorado Table Mountain facility to be used in their research of spectrum interference.
The Table Mountain Field Site supports the fundamental research activities of the Institute for Telecommunication Sciences, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the National Institute of Standards and Technologies, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) for the good of all.
The ITS agency preforms basic research in radio science and provides the technical foundation for policy development and spectrum management activities for the NTIA.
